My First Acceptance Letter!
This just in: I've been accepted into Hebrew College's Rabbinical program (under the direction of Arthur Green, who I had a great time interviewing with) as a mechina student, which means I'll have to do a preparatory year before entering the regular 5 year program.
I'm still waiting to hear from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, but at the moment I'm leaning toward Hebrew College. My final decision will be based on my immediate preference as well as several other factors I can't totally determine right now (financial aid, how many years I'll need to spend at RRC, etc.).

Mazel Tov!
Hebrew College's program is on my list too, I'm just waiting to see what happens with the Conservative movement in December.
Thanks, Robbie! Keep me posted on your decision (or perhaps, on JTS's decision).
In any case, it'd be fun to connect to another famed blogger in Chicago when I'm there (if I can sneak away from my grandparents for a few days). Will you be around in May?
Yep - until the the week before Memorial Day.
Hooray! Congratulations!!! I am so happy and excited for you, Adam!
Congrats Adam! That's so exciting!
In answer to your question of what's next:
I'm currently babysitting...this summer, I hope to do some finite housesitting jobs and do a bit of travelling
And next year? Um, well, I think that I'm going to work on a freelance writing career...(I'm planning on starting to work on that next week). Scary thought though...
Congrats! Mazel Tov! etc. etc.! ;-)
Carrie, Thanks! I'm also quite excited!
Thanks, Jen! Wow, well, if you're travelling plans take you out East, it'd be great to connect. Good luck with your summer plans and beyond!
John, I think you are a bringer of luck. I got the e-mail as soon as I returned from our ice-cream outing!
See! Ice cream works!
